HELP please: idea or suggestions

Becca has me making ornaments for her Sorority family!! She bought smallish (3 1/2 inch) letters, first initial of each girl's name, and paint. She wants me to alter them, but I am starting to think maybe just painting them, doing polka dots in white (or a contasting color), shalack and a big black bow? any ideas (or pictures) anybody could suggest would be great. TIA

You could also add gems or buttons or little flowers or lots of ribbons tied on here and there for that frilly look. Or some gem or pearl swirls. Have fun.
