I mentioned in my Mon. post about going down to my scrap room to shuffle papers around and that's just what I did. How do I just dig in and begin to scrap again? Share your best ideas for getting started actually doing something other than look at all your papers and stuff. Did that busy vacation make me antsy to move fast or what? I seem impatient and not creative. Help please!

my best mojo is challenges and sketches .. check out Trisha's SI site maybe?

I also get lots of mojo at crops, looking at everyone else's creations make me get all kinds of ideas
and I have a crop coming up in March .. if you weren't so far away!

I agree with using sketches as a starting point....they always get me going in the right direction!

As for trying to decide WHAT to scrap, I would just pick photos with a certain "theme," try to find a kit or papers/embellies to go with that....and just sit down with a sketch and get going on it. I wouldn't put those certain papers/embellies away until I had scrapped a couple of pages with them. That's what I do with my TSR kits...I pull out 1 part of the kit and use it as much as I can before I move to the next part of the kit.

For instance, if you have Christmas pics to scrap, pull out some coordinating cardstock and several sheets of Christmas themed paper and embellies....and scrap only that theme until you have a couple of pages made. And remember...it's OKAY to scrap much older photos! I just scrapped some Valentine's Day pics of my boys from 2007!!!!! I enjoyed going back and finding these photos that I had printed out years ago and FINALLY getting these pics scrapped. Feels good! :)

i personally have to have a neat aand tidy and organized work area. that includes the surrounding area. (in my living room - clean scrap area, cleaned up house = scrappy happy)
trisha's sketches, the Freaky Fast Formula at TSR, new papers from TSR, jsut the right pic that yo love and can't wait to scrap. find that ONE pic - get is scrapped and the mojo is back!

hope you get your mojo soon darlin...

I like having a clean desk/scrappy space to start out with too. Now, during the page process, things can get a little crazy and papers and embellies can fly all over the place...but starting and ending each page with a clean desk is the way it works for me! ;)

Sorry Robin. I'm no help.
I pretty much only scrap at organized events (including if I have my friend over to work here).
Anyway, I just had a Friday night/all day Saturday thing and i scrapped but I was just getting over being sick and being out that much (in the snowy weather) didn't help me much. Haven't thought about it since!
