What do you guys do with supplies (mainly paper) that you don't see yourself using...EVER?? I seem to have accumulated paper that, while in its prime, was nice...but I can't even pretend to find a use for it. And most of it is in slab format so I have at least 3 sheets of each print. I think the slabs were on sale during the holidays...because I have a more than one of these gems! I can't bring myself to throw it away (or recycle/burn as my friend suggested). I'm not on the computer enough to try to sell it on ebay (nor do I want to deal with trying to ship 12x12 paper). I keep telling myself to donate it...but I don't really know where. A group I was on a long time ago used to have a person that made simple scrapbook kits for kids in the hospital. Love the idea...not in the group...can't find the info (if I even wrote it down).

I'm sure everyone here uses every piece of paper they have purchased or received...so this may be a lost cause...but if you have any suggestions I would love to hear it!

Daycares and local schools will probably love to have it. Also I am not sure where you are, but here in Portland we have a store called 'Scrap' that is nothing but craft supplies that no one wanted...I would see if you can find a reuse store in your area.

HA HA HA :rofl

I have a newbie that I am slowly bringing into quality scrapbook material - she eats up all of my stuff - little does she know that other people's leftovers are a gateway drug....

I know that some have donated to local daycares and preschools - I'm going to give a big load to Jackson's Kindy teacher - they do memory books for the kids at the end of the year so I'm SURE it will come in handy!

Also check with your LSS - a lot of them have "garage sales" where you can sell your old stuff for store credit.

I'm a teacher and I take it to school to let the kids use for indoor recess. They absolutely love it.

Summer camps and day camps and even nursing homes and nursery schools, have craft classes and would appreciate it. We have a local resell it craft shop that I bring my stuff to...love that place...run by the council on aging. Cute little old ladies running it and finishing up half done stitcheries etc. I have also been known to use it as wrapping paper for small gifts...even taping two or 3 together to fit the gift. Or make little gift bags from it. I've even made envelopes for cards out of the lighter weight pastel printed sheets.

I am a paper hoarder. I usually let my daughter use the papers I really don't care for when her and her friends are wanting to make a layout..they also use them for bookcovers and mats in picture frames and stuff like that. :)

I'd definitely look into taking extra stuff to preschools, daycares, senior centers/nursing homes, or even to local Girl Scout troops. They get merit badges for crafts, so that would be good. :)

hmmm...I am going to need to do more research to see what is in my area. Thank you for all the suggestions. I was hoping one of my friends that has 2 girls in girl scouts would want it for her brownie scrapbook days...but she finds the paper as horrible as I do...we can't even look at it without laughing! Just gotta do something with it!

I bet your local elementary art teacher would take it...or a kindergarten class...paper mache?

If all else fails, use it to wrap up little bits of candle wax as an easy start for camp fires and fireplaces. Cold weather will be upon us soon.

I thought of this post today - the "kindy wish list" included letter stickers - guess I know where all of my thickers with no vowels are going!
